For A Unique Cozumel Diving Experience

Cozumel Diving

Cozumel Diving

Introduction

Cozumel Diving or the dive in Cozumel, Mexico is one of the most famous diving experiences in the whole world, and a really breathtaking one at that.

The Island named Cozumel in the Mexican Caribbean offers stunning, towering coral reefs, an amazing variety of tropical subaqueous life and a diving-friendly atmosphere of warm and clear water. Cozumel is often referred to as the “Diver’s Paradise” and “Cozumel Diving” became synonymous to an unforgettable experience, not only because of the amazing dive sites but also due to the constantly sunny weather, open and friendly inhabitants and the abundance of white-sanded beaches.

Does this sound like a catalogue ad? Well, it’s supposed to. And everyone who has been to cozumel, diving with barracudas and enjoying the beautiful island, will know why I’m raving about this place so much.Diving Barracuda

So, for a general overview:

By the way, there is a really great Diving Guide that got me interested in Cozumel Diving in the first place, and there are so much more dive sites in the world to be discovered. I think this Diving Guide is a must have for every passionate diver who wants to discover the wonders of the world.

Scuba Diving in Cozumel Post-hurricane?

Question: “The last time I dove in Cozumel, it was spectacular, but hurricane Emily came through since then. Has anyone been diving in Cozumel in the last year? Can you tell me how the reefs are? Thanks!”

-When I was there, I didn’t see anything that seemed messed up.

Besides for diving and fishing, what is there to do in Cozumel?

I am going to Cozumel from Dec. 23- Jan. 2, I am going to Chichen Itza as well. What to do?

One of the things we did was rented a jeep and took a self tour to the wild east side of the island. Very different and awesome place to get some wonderful photos. They have some very interesting bars on that side of the island.
Mescalito's, great seafood and a cold beer. Coconuts Bar sits on top of the highest cliffs of the island.

The only safe place to really take a swim on that side is Chen Rio beach and it also has a restaurant. The east side has surf and riptides, be careful.

You can rent a scooter for 30 dollars or a jeep for 40/50 dollars.

Cozumel is one of the prettiest islands in the Caribbean.
Enjoy and don't forget the camera)

Cozumel - Diving the Devil’s Throat

The Devil’s Throat is found in 90′ of clear blue Caribbean water at the base of 40′ tall coral heads. The coral has grown together to form huge caverns where all sorts of strange things grow. The music, appropriately enough, is “Jesus, Jesus Rest Your Head” by George Winston.
